General Federation of Women’s Clubs #

Known as the ‘Friendly Hour Club’. Mabel Lockhart was the first president of the club.
In the 1950s, the club was involved in a project providing the first street signs and house numbering system in Milltown. Club also conducted the first child health survey in the Whiskey Run Township.

Improved Order of Red Men Lodge (Yulupa Tribe) #440

Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #447

According to the Crawford County Democrat newspaper, April 16, 1874, an IOOF lodge was instituted at Milltown on Saturday, April 11, 1874 (which is different than the date from the by-laws book). The installed officers were Wm. Miller, N.G.; James Flanigan, V.G.; Edwin J. Bye, Secretary; and Andrew Miller, Treasurer.
Regular meetings were held on each Friday evening at 7:00 pm during the months of October, November, December, January, February and March; and at 7:30 pm during the months of April, May, June, July, August and September. (* taken from by-laws book pictured below)

On July 31, 1911, there were 128 members of the lodge (“History of Crawford County” – Pleasant)
