Here is a list of lodges that once existed in Marengo, IN. Each lodge will be updated with various information as I obtain it.

Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #475
Chartered date: 1874
Year of closure: Dec 2025 (merged with Milltown #661)
website: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100067447924048
Information:
Charter originated in Milltown. The lodge met upstairs in the building on the corner at the head of Main Street. In 1884, the lodge sold the building to the Odd Fellows and moved the charter to Marengo. (“Milltown: A Community History” by Jeffrey Davis & William Brockman)
On June 4, 1904, the charter was officially changed from Milltown to Marengo (see photo in the gallery).
On December 24, 1947, a fire started in a near by building, which ignited the window casements of the Masonic Hall, located above the F.E. Denton Drug Store. This caused some damage to the hall and contents. (*Twentieth Century History of Crawford County – H.O. “Whitey” Jones)
In December of 2025, the lodge voted to merge with Milltown Lodge #661.
